Three restaurants in Sweden newly awarded Michelin stars

Sweden's gastronomy is experiencing a rise. No less than three restaurants have been newly awarded one star each in the Michelin Guide 2022 for the Nordic countries. Two restaurants in Stockholm, one in Halland.

The country now has 21 Michelin-starred restaurants with a total of 27 stars. The existing six one-star restaurants in the capital are joined by two new additions. In the restaurant Nour, chef Sayan Isaksson combines Asian elements with Swedish ingredients, and in the restaurant Adam/Albin, chefs Adam Dahlberg and Albin Wessman enchant their guests with experience gastronomy.

In Halland, the restaurant Knystaforsen was also awarded a star. It is in an old sawmill in a wonderfully idyllic setting. The food is cooked over a fire with regional ingredients.

In addition to the one-star eateries, Sweden trumps with a three-star establishment. The Frantzén restaurant under the direction of Björn Frantzén was awarded three stars four years ago. Meanwhile, four restaurants in Stockholm and Malmö have two stars.
