The Sales tour is a tool for building relationships with potential partners while gaining a deeper understanding of the tourism industry and the needs of tour operators. On a Sales tour organised by NordicMarketing, you will participate in several individual sales meetings with international tour operators in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands. 

Who is it for?

The tailor-made Sales tour is aimed for export-ready tourism companies and destinations with previous experience in international sales. For beginners, we offer a variety of training programmes to build experience and knowledge of Central European markets and the international travel trade.

We take up to four experienced people at a time on a Sales tour. If there are more participants, we can organise several Sales tours in a row so that everyone can participate.

Detailed preparation for your sales presentation

Important: Always be aware of who your contacts are and what they need.
Give an answer on the following questions in your sales pitch:
- Why should the tour operator choose you as a partner?
- What makes your service or product unique, different and why does your company stand out compared to others?
We also offer consultancy support on how to prepare your own sales pitch.

On tour in the Central European source market

We organise and plan the entire trip, including transport and accommodation. During the Sales tour we act as your tour guide. 

Effective sales meetings

Usually 2-3 meetings are organised per day.
Each meeting takes 1-1.5 hours.
If necessary, we assist during the tour operator meetings.

Networking

Beside of the sales meetings, you have the opportunity to network with tour operators and your national colleagues.

Follow-up

After the Sales tour we send the tour operators a follow-up with your material and contact details. We send an online survey to the contacts you met to get feedback on their intention to launch new products about the presented region.

We provide you with the tour operators' feedback which can be used for further product development.

Be active!

You take care of the further follow-up yourself. Be sure to deliver further information and offers within the agreed time. 
Remember to thank everyone for the meeting and send a thank you message to those who could not make it for one reason or another (but were on your meeting list).
Network with new contacts on LinkedIn and Twitter and analyse whether you have achieved your goals.

Activity is rewarded and it is worth regularly reminding tour operators of your existence.
