How to find new tour operator partners? What are the relevant contacts on the Central European travel market? Which travel products are tour operators interested in?
On a sales tour organized by NordicMarketing you attend several individual sales meetings with international tour operators in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands. The customized sales tour is intended for skilled tourism companies and destinations with previous sales experiences in international travel trade. Beside a regional organization or a representative of a DMC, additional 3 to 4 company representatives can join the sales tour. Duration, content and time schedule will be individually agreed with each client.
We preferably organize sales tours with trains and public transportation. A successful realization depends on the number of participants and regions that are planned to visit. To the benefit of the environment, we have decided to renounce flights within Germany and to Switzerland.
The sales tour is aimed at companies who are already experienced in international sales. The sales tour is not suitable for beginners, but we offer workshops about product development to train you on the requirements for entering the international travel market. The duration depends on the number of participants who join the meeting. With 1-2 companies the meeting takes 60-90 minutes. When 3-5 companies participate (maximum number), the meeting takes 90-120 minutes.
Our goal is to organize 2-3 meetings per day. The number varies due to quite long distances between destinations and due to the fact that tour operators offices are often spread over the whole country both in big cities and smaller villages.
Many tour operators on the Central European market are smaller companies. That’s why their options to welcome visitors/clients are limited. At the same time they even work under a daily time pressure. Therefore their will to introduce new products is limited as well.
That’s why we select a maximum number of 5 experienced persons to join the sales tour at the same time. If the project / company group consists of many companies, the sales tour can be arranged in 2-3 selected markets.
Personal contact and seeking for a long term cooperation is very important when working on the German or Central European market.
It is all about building up a trustful relation and that takes time!
