Avinor teams up with vintage sensation Eftir to open Scandinavia's first vintage boutique at Oslo Airport

Recently, Oslo Airport welcomed the debut of Eftir, a renowned vintage emporium, as it unveiled its pop-up boutique in the international terminal. Eftir has gained acclaim for its meticulously curated collection of vintage and second-hand treasures, spanning fashion, clothing, and interior décor, making it a standout success in Oslo's city center. Now, Oslo Airport proudly boasts the distinction of hosting Scandinavia's first vintage boutique within its terminal.

Notably, last year saw the opening of the world's inaugural second-hand store in an airport at Helsinki Airport. "Embracing the ethos of second-hand and vintage not only reflects current trends but also underscores a significant environmental commitment. Eftir offers a selection we believe will resonate with both Norwegian and international travelers. This marks one of the most exciting additions to Oslo Airport this year, and we're confident in the concept's success," emphasizes Glenn Marius Sørgård, Commercial Manager of Oslo Airport.

From Chanel handbags to men's shirts

The pop-up boutique, unveiled on April 17th, is strategically located near the international terminal, adjacent to the D gates, near BIT. Eftir's focus lies in vintage textiles and accessories catering to all genders. "At Eftir at Oslo Airport, visitors will find a carefully curated selection of vintage and reused items from renowned fashion houses, catering to both men and women, as well as offering unisex options," confirms Cecilie Ova Nielsen of Eftir. Their promise extends to offerings from Dior, Chanel, Dolce Gabbana, alongside timeless vintage pieces. Additionally, there is a significant emphasis on men's fashion. "Our venture into new neighborhoods has garnered remarkable interest, and we're optimistic about replicating this success here."

Paving the way for a permanent establishment

Initially, Eftir's retail presence will undergo a three-month trial during the summer season at Oslo Airport. "While our focus is on testing and learning, our ultimate goal is to establish a permanent fixture at the airport," reveals Nielsen. They are confident in the existence of a market for reuse among both Norwegian and international travelers. "Our aim is to reach a new target audience and, in collaboration with Avinor, facilitate greater accessibility to sustainable practices for travelers. We anticipate not only a healthy turnover but also the opportunity to redefine consumption habits for the future."
