New flight connection with Eurowings from Düsseldorf to Kajaani

Finland is booming as a holiday destination. So, it's not surprising that Eurowings is also offering new routes. Starting this winter, the German airline will be flying from Düsseldorf to Kajaani in northern Finland every Saturday. From there, it is only 15 minutes to the dreamy winter destination of Vuokatti.

The new flight connection with Eurowings was the reason for suppliers from the Vuokatti region to go on a sales tour with NordicMarketing. During the three-day tour, 6 appointments were arranged in advance with selected tour operators in western Germany and the Netherlands.

When deciding whom to visit, both small specialists and large, well-known tour operators already selling trips to Finland and interested in the winter sports resort of Vuokatti and in the new direct flight were considered.

The DMO Visit Vuokatti, Vuokatti Safaris, Sokos Hotel Vuokatti, Hotel Vuokatin Aateli, Holiday Club Resort Katinkulta and Nordic Feelings presented their diverse destination, the numerous activities, the high-quality and very different types of accommodation at the meetings.

Sales tours by NordicMarketing

The sales tours organised by NordicMarketing always aim to establish long-term cooperation through personal contact. A new region or other suppliers of a known or as yet unknown destination should be included in the tour operator's portfolio, leading to bookings and thus to new customers.

For tour operators, these meetings offer the opportunity to get to know new destinations, new products and, above all, the suppliers personally.

NordicMarketing's task is to select the relevant tour operators from the large number of tour operators in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands and write to them in a targeted manner. If there is interest, the next step is to find a suitable date. The route is then planned in order to coordinate the desired dates with the sometimes long distances between the individual locations. For this reason, long transfers are not uncommon and only two appointments per day are usual.

This exclusivity of appointments, the targeted selection of relevant tour operators and the confirmation of appointments by interested contacts are the result of years of work.
