The enchanting beauty of Norway's longest fjord in winter
How fascinating the Norwegian fjords are is clearly reflected in the increasing number of visitors from Central Europe. Next to the popular summer months, the off-season periods are lesser known. In addition to winter activities, they offer plenty of opportunities to take a deep breaths. There are hardly any waiting times and you don't have to share the popular sights and spots: if you are lucky you get luxury of having them all to yourself.
On their three-day tour, the partners from the Sognefjord region showed selected tour operators from southern Germany how easily and conveniently the Sognefjord can be reached also in winter weather, what activities are offered and which charming accommodations there are to discover.
The selected tour operators included smaller specialists as well as big, well-known tour operators who already sell the destination and are interested in expanding their winter program. This tour was accompanied by the DMO Visit Sognefjord, Norway´s Best, Fjærland Hotell, Nes Gard and Sogndal Skisenter Hodkleve.
