The new travel centre at Helsinki Airport makes the transition to alternative modes of transport easier
The new travel centre is being built at Terminal 2 and will function as a hub for a variety of transportation modes. It will offer a bus terminal for local and long-distance buses, a train station for local trains in the Helsinki area, a taxi rank and access to the airport's parking hall.
The airport's departure and arrival halls provide direct access to the train station and parking garage. Taxis and buses can be found close by. The fact that the areas are clearly separated from each other makes it easy to find the right means of transport. In addition, pedestrians don't have to cross lanes to access different areas, so safety is increased.
