Norway's list expands with ten new national parks

Norway is a country with numerous national parks. There are currently 47 national parks - some of which have been declared World Heritage Sites by Unesco. Ten new national parks have now been added to this impressive list. Four completely new parks will be established, and six landscape conservation areas will be upgraded to national parks. Eight existing national parks will be expanded. 

With this initiative, Norway wants to take action against climate change. The municipalities and the Norwegian Environmental Protection Agency have decided to create ten new national parks to counteract the challenges of climate change.
