Adventure company NAC expands its portfolio with the Lofoten Coastal Cruise

The adventure company NAC is expanding its portfolio with the Lofoten Coastal Cruise, a new coastal cruise on the Vestfjord.

Fredrik Geelmuyden, Managing Director of Norwegian Adventure Company, expresses his enthusiasm for the launch of the Lofoten Coastal Cruise: "We have been working hard to expand our range of small, exclusive and themed coastal cruises. The Lofoten Coastal Cruise will initially start as a winter cruise in March - April 2024 and will take guests on a round trip through the Vestfjord Basin. It will call at destinations such as Narvik, Skrova, Svolvær, Henningsvær, Borg, Reine and Hamarøy.

Geelmuyden emphasises the company's commitment to capturing a wide range of unique historical, cultural, culinary and natural experiences in the Vestfjord.

Guests on the Lofoten coastal cruise will learn about war history in Narvik, Hamsun's literary heritage in Hamarøy, fishing and coastal culture in Svolvær and Skrova, Viking history in Borg in Lofoten, local arts and crafts in Henningsvær and nature, geology and society in Reine. In addition, a sailing route along the unique Lofoten Wall north of the Arctic Circle awaits you.

NAC offers this exclusive experience on board the M/S Sjøveien, a classic yacht with room for just 12 guests, its own chef and an experienced crew. Guests will get close to nature, wildlife, local communities and culture and experience the mesmerising winter light and the Northern Lights that are visible at this time of year. In the future, there are plans to offer this product in late summer, in September and October.

The Lofoten Coastal Cruise is an example of the development of a concept that combines different themes and regions. Geelmuyden is convinced that such innovations will enable Norwegian coastal destinations to continue to impress in tourism.
