Planned reopening in 2025 marks the Group's entry into the Stockholm hotel market

The Olav Thon Group has acquired the Hotel Terminus in Stockholm and plans to reopen it in spring 2025 after renovation. With the intention of investing in Scandinavia, the Group has signed an agreement to acquire the hotel through its Swedish subsidiary Thon Sverige AB.

The strategically favourable location close to Stockholm Central Station was a key reason for the interest in this attractive hotel property, explains Arne B. Sperre, Deputy CEO of the Olav Thon Group.

For Thon Hotels in Sweden, Hotel Terminus marks the group's first independent hotel in Stockholm. It complements the existing partner hotels Thon Partner Hotel Kungsbron and Hotel Kungsträdgården.

The property, built at the end of the 19th century at Vasagatan 20, comprises 155 rooms on seven floors and covers 5,400 square metres. The renovation plans are in preparation and will be realised in the new year. Guests can look forward to the reopening in spring 2025.
