Viking Line's ship Viking Grace has undergone an environmentally friendly refurbishment

Viking Line's Viking Grace is already ten years old and has welcomed over ten million passengers on board. During a three-week maintenance break, the vessel has now undergone extensive renovation and maintenance.

The renovations also contribute to sustainability. While in dock, new technologies were installed to reduce fuel consumption by three per cent. Carbon emissions can be reduced by three tonnes per 24 hours. In addition, travel comfort is enhanced by reducing vibrations on board the ship.

The interior has also been completely refurbished and recycled. All materials removed from the ship and maintenance waste were sorted and reused in the dock.
