Viking Lines ship Viking Glory has already carried one million guests

Viking Line's Viking Glory has been operating the Turku-Mariehman-Stockholm route since March 2022 and welcomed its millionth passenger on board in January 2023.

The brand new Viking Glory sailed out of Turku harbour for the first time at the beginning of March to great media attention and in front of numerous spectators. During the summer, the ships Viking Glory and Viking Grace set a new passenger record on the Turku-Mariehamn-Stockholm route. Less than a year after its launch, Viking Glory has already carried one million passengers.

Viking Line expects a total of about two million passengers to travel with Viking Line on the Turku route in 2023. Viking Glory and Viking Grace are the only ships that offer a sea connection between Turku city centre and the heart of Stockholm. The route has always been of great importance to the city of Turku, and its importance continues to grow.

The Viking Glory is Viking Line's largest investment in a modern cruise experience. The ship can carry 2,800 passengers and has 60 percent more cargo capacity than its predecessor, the Amorella. At the same time, emissions are significantly reduced.
