Stockholm archipelago trail opens in autumn

270 kilometres through the Stockholm archipelago

The Stockholm Archipelago Trail will open in October 2024. The new hiking trail in the Stockholm archipelago is a 270 km long route with 20 sections. It offers travellers the opportunity to explore the impressive Stockholm archipelago in a very special way.

With around 30,000 islands, the archipelago near Stockholm is one of the largest island groups in the world. You can now hike through the archipelago on 21 of these islands. The highlights of the new archipelago trail include the islands of Sandhamn, Utö, Ålö and Nåttarö. 

In summer, the North-South boat line runs along the Stockholm Archipelago Trail. Each section of the route offers overnight accommodation. Travellers should plan at least 20 days to experience all sections.
