On the Viking Glory, passengers can discover modern art by Stefan Lindfors

In addition to the view of the ocean, Viking Glory passengers can also have the opportunity to admire various works of art inspired by the waters of the Baltic archipelago. Stefan Lindfors, who has created a thought-provoking trilogy of sculptures for the new ship, explains: "It’s not the art that attracts people to the vessel, but passengers on a cruise have time to explore the works and become familiar with modern art."

There is not just one sculpture by Stefan Lindfors on the Viking Glory, but a whole series consisting of three sculptures. One sculpture is located in the two-storey auditorium, one in the Kobba restaurant and the third on the sun deck.

The idea of bringing impressive art to the Viking Glory came about when the construction of the ship had already begun. At the beginning, however, the plan was to exhibit a work on the car deck, but not large sculptures. This idea, however, did not come to realisation. Instead, Viking Line decided to put the artworks in common areas where they could be seen by all passengers.
