Fazer's Gateau Cafés: Artisan delicacies at Stockholm Arlanda Airport

Gateau, Fazer's bakery, has launched two cafés at Arlanda Airport in Terminals 2 and 5. The newly opened cafés promise a unique experience with a cosy atmosphere, personal service and a delicious range of sandwiches, light meals, freshly baked bread, pastries and freshly brewed coffee.

In late 2023 and early 2024, Fazer will open four more Gateau cafés at Arlanda Airport in collaboration with SSP Group, a renowned operator of restaurants in travel centres. The first cafés have recently opened in Terminals 2 and 5, and Gateau will soon also be located in Sky City and Market Square.

"We see Arlanda as an excellent platform to present our premium brand Gateau to around 19 million travellers and 15,000 employees every year. Our first cafés have received positive feedback, which encourages us to welcome even more customers. We are delighted to be able to offer Gateau and Fazer's high-quality products to international travellers," said Johan Rosenblom, Head of Fazer Retail. Fazer Retail operates 50 Gateau shops in Finland and Sweden and 20 Fazer Cafés in Finland.

Handmade treats and premium experiences in Stockholm's terminals

Gateau's cafés in Arlanda offer handmade bread and pastries from Gateau's skilful bakers and pastry chefs, Gateau's signature coffee and a selection of fresh sandwiches and salads. Travellers can enjoy their meals on site or opt for a takeaway meal. Gateau is open from 5am to 9pm, and even until 10pm in Terminal 5.

Gateau, a bakery in Stockholm, bakes its bread according to traditional French recipes with sourdough, similar to the famous Poilâne in Paris. Gateau currently operates 36 shops in Sweden, including Stockholm, Uppsala and Skåne, as well as 14 shops in Finland. Gateau has been part of the Fazer brand since 2011.
