Niclas Mårtensson, CEO of Stena Line, to chair the supply chain and transportation industry community at the WEF
Niclas Mårtensson, CEO of Stena Line, has been appointed Governor Chair of the Supply Chain and Transportation Industry Community at the World Economic Forum (WEF). In this role, Mårtensson will represent Stena AB and play a key role in driving the transformation of the industry over the next two years.
The WEF, an international organization that brings together leaders from various sectors, announced Mårtensson's appointment during its annual meeting in Davos. As Governor Chair, his responsibilities include leading the community, shaping the industry agenda and identifying opportunities for collective action to achieve positive global outcomes.
Mårtensson sees this as an excellent opportunity to contribute to the transition to a fossil-free, inclusive and safe movement of goods. The WEF's industry communities work together throughout the year to propose, support and provide strategic input on priorities for their respective industries. Mårtensson's focus will be on influencing policy and regulations to support a fossil-free supply chain and transportation industry, focusing on challenges such as inadequate infrastructure to achieve sustainability goals. He succeeds Tan Chong Meng, Group CEO of PSA International, in this role.
