Trustly revolutionises customer service at Arlanda Express

Arlanda Express, the fastest train connection between Stockholm and its main international airport, has found a partner in Trustly to process refunds to bank accounts in Europe.

For years, Arlanda Express has been selling tickets via smartphones, ATMs and physical ticket counters. However, refunding or compensating travellers who had bought the wrong ticket or needed a refund for other reasons was not seamless via the app. For a long time, customers were referred to the ticket counters for such matters.

Due to the diverse origins of air travellers using an international airport, a customer-centric solution was needed. Trustly, known as one of the leading providers of account-to-account payments in Europe, was chosen as the solution. Thanks to the co-operation with Trustly, Arlanda Express employees are able to investigate refund or compensation claims. Using their iPads, they can easily process refunds and send a text message or e-mail to the customer, which is then forwarded to Trustly with a click of the mouse. The customer can then use the Trustly payout product to select their account and initiate their refund, which is transferred to and available in their chosen bank account within seconds.

With the closure of ticket offices and ever-changing customer needs, Trustly and Arlanda Express have found a unique solution to provide high quality customer service on the spot.
