Viking Ship House in Oslo to be extensively expanded

The Viking Ship House in Oslo is one of the most visited museums in Norway. In February, construction work began on the new Viking Age Museum, which will include the Viking Ship House.

The new museum will consist of two parts and is scheduled to open in 2027. A glass extension will connect the Viking Ship House with the new exhibition, which will be three times larger than before.

It will be the largest and most comprehensive exhibition on the Viking Age in the world.
