Sweden lifts national corona restrictions

Curfew and mask recommendation are dropped

Sweden is lifting the Corona restrictions next week. Among other things, attendance limits at events, restrictions on restaurants, pubs and cafés as well as the mask recommendation for public transport will be abolished.

For the unvaccinated, the recommendation remains to stay away from crowded places. They are also encouraged to book a vaccination appointment. Sweden is following the other Nordic countries Denmark, Norway and Finland in announcing easing restrictions.
