According to a survey by WTM London, Norway is considered the most sustainable and responsible destination.

Norway is a year-round destination that is popular with adventure and outdoor lovers, among others. The destination integrates sustainability into the country's everyday life, with energy generated mainly from hydropower, a sustainable transport network and speed limits that are lower than in many other European countries. Alongside this, visitors are encouraged to do the same and travel like locals.

Oslo, the capital, is two-thirds wood and water, and was named the European Green Capital in 2019.
