Exhibition and Congress Centre and Gothia Towers in Gothenburg celebrate anniversary

One hundred years ago, the large machinery hall in Gothenburg, Sweden was inaugurated for an export exhibition on what is now the site of the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre and Gothia Towers. The anniversary is celebrated in June with prestigious international congresses.

The Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre and Gothia Towers are an important part of Gothenburg's tourism economy. Around two million people visit the facilities every year. Approximately 8,000 exhibitors participate in more than 30 trade fairs throughout the year. Hundreds of large national and international congresses and events are held here every year.

With 1,200 hotel rooms, over 40,000 square metres of multifunctional meeting space and five restaurants, there are opportunities for fantastic holistic experiences right in the heart of the city, with all of Gothenburg's attractions within easy reach.

For this month, the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre and Gothia Towers will be transformed into a huge international knowledge centre.
