Niceair cannot currently offer flights to Iceland after all

The Icelandic airline Niceair wanted to offer flights from Düsseldorf to Akureyri in the north of Iceland this summer. However, the airline has suspended its flight operations for the time being.

Niceair wanted to operate the Düsseldorf - Akureyri route with an Airbus A319. Now, however, the aircraft is no longer available. The Portuguese wetlease partner Hi Fly had not paid its debts to the leasing company, which is why the contract fell through.

Niceair is trying to organise a replacement aircraft.
