You will experience Kalajoki as a part of the arctic coastal area in different seasons and you will be surprised by the possibilities to experience and enjoy our sea nature round the year. Kalajoki invites you to forget your watch and loosen your tie. Here you can hear the nature of the arctic seafront calling throughout the year. Visit the old fishermen´s island Maakalla, go kayaking in the archipelago, jump on a bike and head over to the duckboards on the beach or to the forest trails. You may have been surfing but have you been surfing on the ice? Get out, be active and let the coastal lifestyle take over. Feel the wide space that allows your sight and thoughts to travel far out. And hey – where else do you have the possibility to experience the most beautiful sunset and the Northern lights on the same day? There are also some other beautiful places to the south and north of Kalajoki at the arctic coastal area and you will have a glimpse of those during the trip as well!
