Kayakomat opens new self service kayak and SUP board rental stations across Sweden

Kayakomat is growing at a record pace, and by summer the self service kayak and SUP board rental stations will be in twice as many places as last year. Last year, around 30,000 people paddled kayaks and SUPs in six countries.

A Kayakomat is a station with kayaks and SUPs set up in an accessible place near the water. The kayaks or SUPs can be easily booked via the website kayakomat.com and then unlocked. The concept has quickly become very popular and has already won several awards, including "Upcoming Star of the Year" from the Swedish Fund for Export Development and "Innovator of the Year" from the Swedish Franchise Association.

All kayaks and SUP boards are manufactured by Point 65 Sweden, the owner of Kayakomat. Both the kayaks and SUP boards are suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers. The equipment is regularly replaced to maintain the highest standards. Another advantage at Kayakomat is the opening hours, as they are longer than at a traditional kayak rental.

Kayakomat by Point 65 Sweden was founded in Sweden in 2020 and there are already more than 100 Kayakomats. By the summer, there will be about 50 more across the country.
