Swedavia plans new hotels at Stockholm and Kiruna airports

There are to be new hotels at Stockholm Arlanda and Kiruna airports

Swedavia continues its development of the airports of the future with plans for new hotels at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Kiruna Airport.

Swedavia is planning a full-service hotel with 540 double rooms at Stockholm Arlanda Airport near the terminal. The new hotel at Stockholm Arlanda Airport will also house conference facilities and a wide range of bars and restaurants in an area of 39,000 square metres.

Kiruna Airport is also getting a makeover: a new hotel is planned right next to the terminal at Sweden's northernmost airport. The hotel will include 180 hotel rooms in two different room types, a restaurant and bar on the ground floor of the hotel, and a lobby with a working lounge.

Both hotels will be located right next to the terminals and are expected to impress with the location combined with the high-quality architecture and facilities. Swedavia is now inviting bids from operators to run the hotels. Construction could start in 2025 at the earliest.
