The world's first hydrogen ferry is Norway's Ship of the Year 2021

The award is granted annually by the trade magazine Skipsrevyen. "Hydrogen and electric power make MF Hydra one of the most environmentally friendly ferries in the world. Hydrogen as an emission-free fuel also shows great potential as an alternative fuel for ships, also for longer sea routes," says the chairman of the jury and editor-in-chief of Skipsrevyen Gustav Erik Blaalid. The world's first hydrogen ferry, MF Hydra, has been in service since July 2021.
