Fuel surcharge planned until 31 August

Since 14 March, Tallink Silja has imposed a temporary fuel surcharge on the Tallinn-Stockholm, Helsinki-Stockholm and Turku-Stockholm routes (both via Mariehamn/Aland). The surcharge is calculated on the ticket price for all regular departures and mini-cruises booked until 31 August 2022. For the time being, the fuel surcharge will not be applied on the Tallinn-Helsinki route.

On the Helsinki-Mariehamn, Turku-Mariehamn and Mariehamn-Stockholm routes, the surcharge is €1.90 for a single departure. On the Tallinn-Stockholm, Helsinki-Stockholm and Turku-Stockholm routes, the surcharge is €2.90 for a single departure, a total of 5.80 euros for a two-way trip.

Paavo Nõgene, CEO of Tallink Grupp explains the decision: "The fuel prices have risen considerably over a very short time. The present situation, unfortunately, leaves us no other option than to introduce a temporary fuel surcharge. We have opted for the lowest possible fuel surcharge fee which helps us as a company to continue our business activities in today’s volume to avoid facing considerable losses in this extraordinary situation, at the same time, considering also our passengers who are also faced with general price increases in many areas of life."
