Tallink carries most passengers in one month for 3 years

Cruise operator Tallink Grupp announced in a press release that July this year saw the highest number of passengers carried since August 2019. The strongest increase in passenger numbers occurred on the routes between Finland and Sweden.

However, steady growth can also be observed on the Finland - Estonia and Estonia - Sweden passages. The shipping company assumes that the positive result is due to the deployment of more ships and on the other hand to the lifting of COVID restrictions. The situation has stabilised in all important markets.

In addition to foreign tourists, the Finns themselves are also actively travelling again, as Paavo Nõgene, Chief Executive Officer of Tallink Grupp reports: "We are pleased that our Finnish customers have come on board again in greater numbers and that customers from further afield in Western Europe have also found their way back to us, especially in July."
