Lufthansa continues flights from Munich to Oulu in summer

Lufthansa operates the Munich - Oulu route all year round

Lufthansa will continue to operate its new route from Oulu to Munich next summer and will also ensure flights until the 2024-2025 winter season. This makes Lufthansa the only airline to date to offer scheduled international flights to Northern Finland all year round. The long-awaited route from Oulu to Munich was introduced by Lufthansa on December 16, 2023 and is currently operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Regular scheduled flights from Oulu to Central Europe are very popular with passengers. The airline has now confirmed that the scheduled flights will continue during the summer season and will be operated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The flights will also be operated twice a week during the 2024-2025 winter season.

"The Oulu-Munich route is an excellent addition to our route offering at the airports. Since its introduction, the route has been very popular with passengers and has significantly strengthened Northern Finland's international accessibility. This popularity is now reflected in the continuation of year-round flights, which we are very pleased about," says Petri Vuori, Finavia's Senior Vice President responsible for route development.
