Next Havila Capella voyage cancelled due to an insurance setback

Havila Voyages was forced to cancel the next voyage of the Havila Capella after the ship could not be insured. The Norwegian government had given the shipping company permission to operate the ship for six months in April, however, insurance was not included in the order. Havila Capella's scheduled departure on 15 May was also cancelled for the same reason. The Havila Capella was delivered to the shipping company in December last year and also made its first round trip in December 2021.

Havila has suffered a series of setbacks in recent months since the Russian invasion of Ukraine started. Chief executive Bent Martini says: “We are constantly working to find a temporary solution to put Havila Capella back in schedule. This is a demanding situation for us, and it is difficult to estimate how long this will take.”
