Virtual Lapland provides virtual reality version of northern Finnish nature

The fully computer-generated experience is a virtual representation of Europe's last wilderness and offers interactive elements, information and stories about Lapland and the Northern Lights. In three-dimensional representation, users can learn about the seasons, wilderness, wildlife and the Northern Lights of Lapland. Virtual visitors are also introduced to summer and winter activities such as hiking and skiing. Travel agents can use the site to refresh their own destination knowledge or to make the destination appealing to their customers.

"We created Virtual Lapland to bring people around the world closer to our forests, moors, snow-covered trees, the midnight sun and the Northern Lights," says Salla-Mari Koistinen, Programme Manager of Only in Lapland.
