Two Tallink Grupp hotels awarded Green Key Label

Tallink City Hotel and Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel have been awarded the international Green Key environmental label. Tallink Hotels plans to have all four of its hotels certified.

Estonia became a member of the Green Key quality system in 2001. Companies in the tourism industry that are committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility can apply for the Green Key. The aim is to reduce the carbon footprint and to achieve a balance between quality, comfort and environmentally friendly practices.

Currently, there are a total of 50 Green Key certified companies in Estonia, 35 of which are hospitality companies. Tallink Hotels intends to certify all four of its hotels. Tallink Express Hotel in Tallinn is currently in the Green Key application process. Tallink Hotel Riga in the Latvian capital's city centre and two of the company's restaurants are expected to start the process soon.
