Swedish Government introduces temporary COVID-19 law
The new law gives Swedish authorities the possibility to impose more restrictions on public life. It comes into force on 10 January and is expected to last until 30 September 2021.
The stricter infection control measures may affect public transport and domestic air travel, in addition to sports venues, shopping centres, campsites and museums. The new law enables the limitation of public gatherings, to adjust opening hours or allows to close premises that serve food and drink. More about the new COVID-19 law.
