New Scandic Friends loyalty programme introduces enhanced membership levels and personalised benefits

Scandic Hotels has unveiled its revamped loyalty programme, Scandic Friends, which aims to enhance the member experience and drive growth. The new programme, which officially launched on 27 August 2024, expands from five to seven membership levels, offering tailored benefits and a more personalised experience for its 3 million members. Scandic plans to double the number of members by 2030, based on the success of the programme, which already accounts for 38 percent of overnight stays sold. The updated programme focuses on digital enhancements and member-specific offers that make it easier for guests to collect and redeem points while enjoying various benefits.

The development of the new Scandic Friends was informed by extensive interviews with members and industry insights to ensure it meets the changing needs of travellers. Scandic plans to continue adding new features and partnerships to the programme, further cementing its position as a leader in the Nordic hotel industry.
