New route strengthens Scandinavia’s connection to the heart of Finnish Lapland
For the 2025/2026 winter season, SAS Scandinavian Airlines will introduce a new direct connection from Copenhagen (CPH) to Kittilä (KTT). The route will operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, specifically targeting the peak winter travel period from January 10 to March 28, 2026.
High demand for Lapland winter experiences
Located in the heart of Finnish Lapland, Kittilä serves as the gateway to the popular resorts of Levi and Ylläs. Beyond skiing, the region offers iconic winter activities such as Northern Lights excursions, snowmobile safaris, reindeer and husky adventures, and a wide range of nature experiences. With this new route, SAS provides direct and convenient access from Scandinavia to these Arctic highlights. “With this connection, we offer our customers in Denmark and Southern Scandinavia a fast and easy way to experience the wonders of Lapland in winter,” says Henrik Winell, Vice President Network at SAS.
