Bright design and modern amenities shape the future of the renowned hotels in Espoo and Vantaa

The Original Sokos Hotels in Tapiola Garden and Vantaa, Finland are undergoing extensive renovations and promise guests a fresh and modern look in the coming years.

Renovation in Tapiola Garden

The renowned Original Sokos Hotel Tapiola Garden in picturesque Espoo will unveil its bright new look in early 2024. The hotel is located close to the central Tapiola basin, the cultural center and the Ainoa shopping center, making it an integral part of the Finnish cultural landscape. During the renovation, the hotel's lobby and restaurant areas will be bathed in natural light, and the tranquil rooms will receive a makeover with fresh textiles.

The ongoing renovation, scheduled from December 22, 2023 to January 28, 2024, includes the renovation of rooms, lobby, reception area and the Grill it! Completion of the renovation is scheduled for April 2024, with interior design by Studio Joanna Laajisto. It is worth noting that the last renovation took place in 2008 and was accompanied by an extension.

Transformation of the hotel in Vantaa

At the same time, the extensive transformation of the legendary Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa, also known as Hotel Vantaa, will begin in January 2024. The hotel's rooms will be given a brighter and more modern look, while the entire first floor, including reception and meeting rooms as well as restaurants, will be improved to better meet the diverse needs of guests.

The renovation aims to make the hotel's versatile spaces even more comfortable and functional. Tikkurila, one of the fastest growing centers in Vantaa, continues to develop in services, transportation systems and recreational areas.

The transformation will take place in two phases. The first phase, which will last from January to October 2024, will renovate 165 rooms, corridors, elevator halls, the second floor reception area and versatile, fully equipped meeting rooms. In addition, the restaurant offering will be refreshed, with Pub Hertas opening in April 2024. Other restaurants such as the renovated Amarillo, the legendary Tulisuudelma and the Night nightclub will open in November 2024, promising something completely new for guests. The second phase, scheduled for completion in spring 2025, includes the completion of the extension wing with 100 hotel rooms, corridors and meeting rooms.

Both renovations signal not only a refresh of the hotels, but also a commitment to enhanced experiences for visitors by combining modern aesthetics with the rich cultural and natural environment of Espoo and Vantaa. The transformations are intended to position these hotels as vibrant gathering places that welcome both locals and travelers for another era of memorable stays.
