Lithuania – a gem in Northeastern Europe

This year, Lithuanian providers are participating for the first time in the online sales event NORDEUROPA. Lithuania, often an overlooked gem in Northeastern Europe, impresses with its rich history, charming cities, and breathtaking natural beauty. The country offers visitors a captivating blend of culture, architecture, and diverse landscapes.

The medieval capital, Vilnius, captivates visitors with its well-preserved old town alleys, Gothic churches, and Baroque palaces. Vilnius' Old Town, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, exudes a historically rich charm, inviting strolls through its cobblestone streets and exploration of historical landmarks. The city of Trakai is another gem of Lithuania, enchanting with a unique blend of history and nature. Situated on an island in Lake Galvė, it is renowned for its medieval castle dating back to the 14th century.

The nature of Lithuania impresses with dense forests, clear lakes, and the picturesque Curonian Spit – a narrow peninsula with unique sand dunes. The Curonian Lagoon, a part of the Baltic Sea in the north of Lithuania and the south of the Kaliningrad Oblast, and the inspiring artists' colony in Nida are just a few highlights along the Baltic Sea coast. Lithuanian hospitality and the relaxed atmosphere make this country an ideal destination for history enthusiasts and nature lovers.
