No ITB Berlin 2022

Messe Berlin, organizer of the leading travel trade fair, has announced that ITB Berlin will not take place in 2022. "The current situation surrounding the pandemic, as well as the tightened travel restrictions and limits imposed on the numbers that can take part in large events made Messe Berlin take this step," the organizers write. Even if this year's event would have looked different than usual, it is now certain that personal exchange with long-awaited meetings at the stands, will not be possible in 2022 either.

Dialogue and inspiration wanted at online events

However, the cancellation of ITB Berlin also shows that online events continue to be the first choice for staging major events during these times. The tourism industry and its representatives crave dialogue and inspiration, something that is of great importance for developing travel products and building contacts.

NORDEUROPA 2022: A place for virtual meetings

We look forward to helping to meet this demand again next year with NORDEUROPA 2022, providing a venue for Northern European B2B sales workshops between Northern European travel suppliers and tour operators - securely online and from the comfort of your own desk in your home-office or office.

In 2021, this format has already proven to be successful. There were 148 participants from 8 different countries, who attended a total of 957 events. This was an important and also a clear signal that despite all the problems in the midst of the global pandemic, both suppliers and organizers firmly believe in a future for the industry. The online format has managed to bring the international industry together despite the distance.

Register now and book your meetings

For 2022, a large number of destinations and suppliers from Finland, Norway, Sweden and, for the first time, also from Iceland have registered. After free registration, 20-minute meetings can be scheduled via the meeting platform starting on 24 January.

We look forward to providing an alternative for ITB Berlin 2022 that will enable the industry to continue to exchange ideas, make new contacts and stay connected.
