Next summer with Hurtigruten to Oslo and Svalbard

Hurtigruten is launching two new routes for summer 2023: the Hurtigruten North Cape Express from Oslo connects the south of Norway with the North Cape; the Svalbard Express runs from Bergen up to Longyearbyen on Svalbard.

With the new connection from Oslo, the shipping company ventures into southern waters for the first time. With stops in Kristiansand, Farsand and Lindesnes as well as previously unserved northern ports such as Åndalsnes, Alta or Lødingen, Hurtigruten offers an interesting combination of western and northern Norway and Oslo. The voyage on board lasts 12 days and departs from 26 September 2023.

The Svalbard route already existed between 1968 and 1982. Passengers travel in 16 days from Bergen via Lofoten, Vesterålen and the North Cape to Longyearbyen on Svalbard and from there via Tromsø back to Bergen. The route will be opened on 03 June 2023.
