Delay in ship deliveries at Havila Voyages lead to postponement of premiere voyages

The two new ships Polaris and Pollux of the Norwegian shipping company Havila Voyages will be delivered later than planned; this is partly due to bureaucratic hurdles and partly due to the earthquakes in Turkey.

The ship Havila Polaris has been completed, but is not yet allowed to sail because a licence agreement is still open with the Irish Central Bank. The commissioning is therefore postponed to 07 April 2023. Guests will be given the option of rebooking for a later departure, transferring to one of the other ships or having their cruise fare refunded.

The completion of the Havila Pollux is delayed because many employees of the Turkish shipyard are providing disaster relief for the earthquake victims. The premiere voyage has been rescheduled for 27 May 2023.
