Gothenburg prepares for the grand opening of the World of Volvo

New unique Volvo experience center opens its doors in Gothenburg

In April, Gothenburg will unveil its newest attraction - the World of Volvo. The captivating center invites visitors to immerse themselves in Volvo's rich history, pioneering spirit and cultural significance. Located in Gothenburg's new event district, the World of Volvo is characterized by its distinctive Scandinavian architecture and spans 22,000 m².

The Visitor Center is a joint initiative of Volvo Cars and the Volvo Group. Here visitors can expect a mix of temporary and permanent exhibitions, cultural events, discussions, conferences and Nordic gastronomy.

The heart of the five-storey building is the 4500 m² exhibition space, which has been carefully designed to showcase Volvo's innovations and commitment to "omtanke", which emphasizes consideration and care for people. Visitors are taken on a chronological journey to discover Volvo's iconic vehicles, real-life anecdotes and interactive experiences that highlight the brand's impact on everyday life and society.

"Our aim is to create experiences together with our visitors and ensure that every visit to the World of Volvo is fresh and stimulating," explains Ulrika Sandford, Marketing and Communications Manager at the World of Volvo.

The World of Volvo, created by people for people, promises a wealth of delights for visitors of all ages. From electric excavators to a wind tunnel demonstrating the power of aerodynamics, there will be a variety of attractions. Certain areas of the exhibition will be temporary and will evolve according to upcoming themes.

The anticipation of the upcoming grand opening in a few weeks' time is already palpable.

"We are eagerly awaiting the unique interactions between our visitors and the many facets of the exhibition. We believe that the fusion of people, technology and creativity will provide an extraordinary experience," affirms Magnus Wrahme, CEO of the World of Volvo.

The World of Volvo opens its doors on April 14, 2024.
