Finnair receives five-star global airline award from APEX

Passenger feedback highlights the Finnish airline’s excellence

For 2026, Finnair has been awarded the highest possible rating by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX): the Five Star Global Official Airline Rating. The recognition is based on more than one million verified passenger reviews across nearly 600 airlines worldwide.

“This recognition is especially meaningful as it reflects the voices of our customers. It shows our team’s dedication to improving the travel experience every single day,” says Eerika Enne, Head of Inflight Customer Experience at Finnair.

 

Four years in a row

This is the fourth consecutive year that Finnair has achieved the prestigious Five Star rating, based on neutral, third-party verified passenger feedback. APEX brings together the world’s leading airlines, suppliers, and aviation partners.

Focus on reliability and customer journey

Understanding customer needs remains at the core of Finnair’s approach. Priorities include operational reliability – with a 99.3% completion rate in August 2025 – and a seamless travel journey from digital touchpoints and customer care to inflight experience and cabin design. Recent investments include fully refurbished cabins across all long-haul aircraft, a new larger Schengen lounge at Helsinki Airport, and the ongoing renewal of Finnair’s Embraer fleet.
