Finnair renews its Embraer fleet: Higher passenger comfort and better travel experience

In the coming years, Finnair will renew the interiors of its Embraer aircraft to provide passengers with a better travel experience. The cabin refurbishment will give the Embraer fleet a new, welcoming ambience and include elements reminiscent of the previously redesigned cabins of Finnair's long-haul aircraft.

Ole Orvér, Finnair's Chief Commercial Officer, reiterated the airline's commitment to improving the travel experience: "Our goal is to ensure a high-quality travel experience across our route network. We intend to bring the same elements and atmosphere to our Embraer fleet that have been successful in the redesign of our Airbus widebody aircraft."

The cabin refurbishment project is scheduled to be implemented between 2024 and 2025, with the first redesigned aircraft entering service in late 2024.

Finnair operates Embraer aircraft with jet engines for flights to domestic and European destinations. Each of the refurbished Embraer aircraft will have 100 seats, and Finnair's Embraer fleet totals 12 aircraft. These flights will be operated on Finnair's behalf by Nordic Regional Airlines.
