Finavia expands charging stations for electric cars at Finnish airports
Electric cars can now be charged at almost all Finavia airports in Finland. Finavia thus aims to support the transition to zero emissions throughout the air transport value chain.
There are charging stations for electric cars not only at Helsinki Airport, but also at Oulu, Tampere, Turku, Vaasa, Kuopio, Rovaniemi, Kittilä, Kuusamo, Ivalo, Jyväskylä, Joensuu, Kajaani and Mariehamn airports. New stations are built as needed.
Charging fees include a start-up fee of four euros, and energy consumption is charged at 0.25 euros per kWh.
“As electric cars are becoming more common, it’s important that we are able to provide customers with the opportunity to charge their electric cars in the immediate vicinity of the airport,” says Jani Jolkkonen, Senior Vice President, Airport Network at Finavia.
Block heating masts are also available at Oulu and Rovaniemi airports, with a fixed price of EUR 5 for their use from November 2022.
