Exclusive Lounge offers premium amenities and nordic-inspired atmosphere at Stockholm Arlanda Airport

On April 4, the doors opened to the newly renovated American Express Lounge at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Situated in the Marketplace within Terminal 5, this lounge, spanning nearly 700 square meters, is the largest of its kind for American Express in the Nordic region, under the direction of renowned restaurateur Pontus Frithiof.

Inspired by the serene landscapes of Scandinavia, the new American Express Lounge by Pontus Frithiof embodies a Nordic aesthetic reflected in its choice of materials, colors, and furnishings. This design philosophy aligns with the overarching theme of the Marketplace and other terminal areas at Arlanda.

Charlotte Ljunggren, Director of Marketing and Sales at Swedavia, expressed delight in the airport's continuous development and the ongoing partnership with American Express. Ljunggren emphasized the role of the lounge in enriching passengers' experiences, allowing them to perceive the airport not just as a transit hub but as a standalone destination.

Overseen personally by esteemed gastronome Pontus Frithiof, the operations of the American Express Lounge offer a menu curated with a variety of delicious options, from traditional shrimp sandwiches to warm and vegetarian dishes, complemented by a carefully selected array of beverages. Philip Trocmé, Country Manager, Nordics at American Express, underscored the company's commitment to providing unparalleled benefits and services to its members worldwide.

Trocmé emphasized the importance of a tranquil environment and premium amenities, ensuring travelers embark on their journeys with maximum comfort and satisfaction.

The American Express Lounge by Pontus Frithiof is open Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., extending a warm welcome to all American Express Centurion and Platinum members.
