Direct connection extended into the winter season

airBaltic is expanding its connection between Austria and Estonia by extending the direct Vienna–Tallinn service into the winter season. The year-round route improves access to Estonia’s capital and creates new opportunities for travel outside the traditional summer period.

From winter 2026/27, the route will operate up to twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays. The direct connection offers travellers from Austria a convenient way to reach Tallinn without a stopover, supporting both leisure and business travel.

New opportunities for Estonia's winter tourism

The year-round service provides additional potential for travel operators to include Estonia in winter travel programs. With its UNESCO-listed Old Town, cultural highlights and unique winter atmosphere, Tallinn is well suited for city breaks and short getaways during the colder months.

During the summer season, airBaltic offers 29 direct destinations from Tallinn. The extension of the Vienna route further strengthens Estonia’s international connectivity and supports tourism links between Austria and the Baltic region.
