The partnership connects Baltic crossings with the European coach network from 1 October 2026
Viking Line and FlixBus are introducing combined bookings for coach and ferry journeys. The cooperation links the ferry operator’s Baltic services with FlixBus’s European network, giving travellers another way to plan journeys across Sweden, Finland and Estonia.
Routes included at launch
The partnership covers every Viking Line departure between Helsinki and Tallinn and morning departures between Stockholm and Turku. Coach stops are located close to the ferry terminals.
What tour operators can explore
For tour operators, the useful next step is to examine available combinations from their customers’ departure areas. A shared booking could support independent touring and city itineraries, provided journey times and connections fit the programme.
This also changes where a ferry journey enters the customer’s thinking. A crossing that appears during the initial transport search may encourage travellers to consider an additional destination. Operators can use that perspective when presenting routes that combine Nordic and Baltic cities.
Why we are watching this
Connecting transport services within one booking can shape both destination choice and the way operators design journeys around the Baltic Sea.
