EasyJet adds three new direct routes from the UK for the 2026/27 winter season
Demand for travel to Finnish Lapland continues to grow. Reflecting this trend, easyJet is expanding its winter network with three new direct services from the United Kingdom, further improving international access to the region. From late November 2026, the airline will launch new routes from London Luton and Liverpool to Kittilä, as well as from Newcastle to Rovaniemi. The additions complement easyJet's existing services from several UK airports and underline the sustained interest in Arctic winter destinations.
Greater flexibility for tour operators
For tour operators, additional flight connections mean increased flexibility when planning winter programs. More departure points and additional seat capacity make it easier to create package holidays, tailor-made itineraries and multi-destination programs. Beyond the UK, easyJet already serves Finnish Lapland from Amsterdam, Berlin, Geneva, Lyon, Milan, Naples, Nice and Paris, further strengthening the region's accessibility across Europe.
A positive sign for future growth
The continued expansion of airline services demonstrates confidence in Finnish Lapland as a winter destination. Improved accessibility not only supports visitor growth but also provides tour operators with greater opportunities to develop new products and respond to increasing demand for Arctic experiences.
Air connectivity plays a key role in destination development. New direct routes strengthen Finnish Lapland's position in the European travel market and create additional opportunities for tour operators.
