Prof. Dr. Christian Baumgartner

As an expert in sustainable tourism, Prof Dr Baumgartner teaches at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden, HTW Chur and advises nationally on environmentally friendly tourism trends. In his lecture, he will highlight the importance of effective communication strategies and how a rethink towards ‘climate-neutral destinations’ can positively change our travel behaviour.

Liisa Mäkelä & Hanna Muoniovaara (Visit Finland)

Visit Finland experts Liisa Mäkelä and Hanna Muoniovaara will introduce participants to the ‘Selected Routes for Mindful Travellers’ programme. This project highlights Finland's most environmentally friendly travel routes and shows how conscious travel choices can both protect the environment and enhance the beauty of nature.

Ulla Hempel (Visit Finland)

With over 20 years of experience in the tourism sector, Ulla Hempel is committed to establishing Finland as a sustainable and attractive travel destination in German-speaking countries. Her presentation takes participants to the Finnish pioneers of conscious travelling and shows how the country reconciles responsibility and travel.
