New opportunities for tour operators in Scandinavian rail travel and round trips

Since 15 June 2026, Snälltåget has expanded its Scandinavian rail offering with a new daily direct connection between Oslo, Göteborg, and Malmö. For tour operators, this creates additional opportunities for designing round trips and sustainable rail journeys between Norway, Sweden, and continental Europe. In Malmö, passengers have direct connections to Snälltåget’s night trains to Hamburg and Berlin.

The new service offers long-distance comfort, including a dining car, and the option to book private compartments for families or groups. With its seamless, no-change connection and integration into international rail services, the route enables attractive travel combinations between Oslo, Göteborg, Malmö, Hamburg, and Berlin, making it easier to include in packaged travel programs.
