Thanks to the new Skarvberg tunnel, the journey time to Nordkapp is shortened

The new Skarvberg tunnel on the E69 opened at the end of May. This shortens the journey time to Nordkapp and not only gets you to Nordknapp faster, but also safer.

The Skarvberg tunnel is 3.5 kilometres long and is located between Olderfjord and the North Cape in the municipality of Porsanger in Finnmark. Around 6800 metres of new road has been built, including a footpath and cycle track. The new tunnel allows vehicles to now drive 80 km/h instead of the old 30km/h.

The old road and the previous tunnel were closed.
